Mayor Ivy Taylor brought her own special energy to Villita Assembly Building (VAB) to celebrate CPS Energy’s 75th year of City of San Antonio ownership. Our City’s top leader, other Board of Trustees members, District 1 Councilman Robert Trevino, District 4 Councilman Rey Saldana and former CEO Milton Lee all turned out for the first of several 75th anniversary events this year.
The kickoff event focused on our 3,100-strong team of employees who are the heartbeat of our company. Spread out across 20 work locations, they received a hot breakfast served by our senior leadership team and our special guests at many sites.
Mayor Taylor spoke at the largest gathering at VAB. Here’s what she had to say.
