For the first time, CPS Energy has compiled a report that represents our expansive community service efforts.
Being a good corporate citizen extends far beyond providing electricity and natural gas. We live here, and we’re proud to call the Greater San Antonio area home! Our company and our dedicated team members strive to do what’s in the best interest of our customers, our community and our environment.
We continue to add and expand programs and services that help our customers save energy and money. “Assistance programs like Casa Verde help customers save money while making their homes more comfortable and energy efficient,” said Maria Garcia, VP of Community Engagement.
This past year, our workforce contributed more than $1 million to the annual United Way campaign, and volunteered more than 21,000 hours throughout the community to assist local charities and non-profits.
We also support a robust recycling program that includes electronics, wood, paper, used oil, coal-combustion byproducts, concrete, asphalt and other materials. These recycling efforts help us save money and keeps waste out of landfills.
